Rios Barnes- Orlando Magic (Sponsor) As you approach the Center you will immediately begin to feel the transformation of Parramore. From our brand new door ornamented with the New Image and Orlando Magic logos which rests beside a new tinted window pane. Perhaps you enter from the backyard where there is now a fenced in play area separating playing children from the neighbors dogs.
Upon entering the Center there is an overwhelming feeling that you are not in the same place previously known as New Image Youth Center.
Unnecessary walls have been knocked down to allow more for the most space. There are now wall mounted television screens connected to the latest video games and a sitting station. Ms. Stubbs has a desk and new laptap computer to take care of Center business, there are also several new computers and desks loaded with educational software programs. We also have a storage area full of games and activities and a fully stocked bookshelf with brand new books donated by Scholastic Books. Students can select a book or game and have a seat at one of the activity tables also equipped with arts and crafts materials.
We
even have two brand new bathrooms and a clean storage area in the rear.
The presence of the Orlando Magic and the team colors flow throughout
the new facility you can’t help but remember Ms. Stubbs statement at
the Ribbon Cutting “We really do believe in Magic”!
